Erika D. Nelson, PhD Research Scientist II

Dr. Nelson joined Mannatech in March 2008. As a member of R&D's product validation team, she researches the many health benefits of Mannatech products and collaborates with members of Mannatech’s Regulatory Affairs department to develop scientifically validated product claims. Dr. Nelson utilizes her extensive expertise in scientific writing to generate new product substantiation files, write and/or edit scientific posters and manuscripts, and write and maintain MannatechScience.org content. Dr. Nelson earned her BS in Genetics from the University of Kansas in Lawrence and went on to obtain her PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She has published a number of papers on neurodevelopmental disorders and brain epigenetics.
